Mindfulness Meditation In-Person

What is mindfulness? Why do we need it? Where can we apply it? How can we improve it?

Mindfulness practice is a great stress reducer. This four part series will introduce mindfulness methods according to the original teachings of the Buddha. All are welcome.

Syllabus:

1. Introduction to mindfulness

2. Breathing meditation techniques

3. Metta meditation (loving-kindness)

4. Teachings for daily life

Led by Bhante K. Suseela

Bhante Suseela is a Sri Lankan monk who has trained in the Theravada Buddhist tradition. Currently, he is the Spiritual Director and Chief Resident Monk of the Alberta Insight Meditation Centre (AIM Centre). Also, He conducts mindfulness sessions, meditation retreats, personal spiritual guidance sessions for families, and series of meditation sessions at libraries across Alberta.
